Our IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization) therapy approach works with connective tissue serving to provide mechanical support, to exchange metabolites between blood and tissues, and help repair damaged tissue. The Rockford Kinesiology IASTM technique is an advanced form of myofascial mobilization used to detect and relieve the symptoms of scar tissue, adhesions, fascial restrictions within the soft tissue, and to improve connective tissue function.
During this 16 hour hands-on lab course, you will effectively develop a clear understanding of the mechanical principles of soft tissue mobilizations, the localized inflammatory response and tissue healing. In addition, you will understand and practice various corrective exercises and therapy practices as manual therapy, flossing and cupping, special breathing techniques for therapy, to ensure proper healing time and lying down of new collagen without stretching or tearing the healing fibers.
Develop your knowledge base for clinical evaluation and effective recovery treatment with passive & active treatment options to progress your patients to the level of functional movement with a positive continued outcome.
Rockford Kinesiology IASTM Mobilization Concept includes a complete manual and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization techniques, Cupping & Flossing techniques, Proprioceptive movements, Manual therapy methods, Clinical Stretching & Breathing techniques resulting in improved patient outcomes.
This case-study based course uses a lab-focused teaching concept and tools will be provided for practice at the seminar. Translation will be available during the course.
