KINETIC CONTROL M3 Course – MULTI-JOINT SYNERGIES IN ALIGNMENT & COORDINATION, 12-13 February, 2022

Kinetic Control’s ‘Synergies’ modules supply therapists with both a clinical model and the skills of assessment and retraining to address symptoms, compromised function, and recurrence. These courses help delegates to further develop skills of evaluation, reasoning, and retraining/cueing patients.

Organised by Sport Med Lab Team in Romania, these module courses of Kinetic Control allows clinicians to deliver highly specific, individualised movement retraining to successfully manage each patient’s pain, pathology and compromised function of the human body.

20 YEARS OF OPTIMISED MOVEMENT HEALTH

The course details a systemized route to employ movement as the intervention of choice with their patients to manage recurrence and support participation and long term movement health. Pain, pathology and compromised function are linked to mechanism of movement impairment.

Kinetic Control contemporary neuroscience, biomechanics, physiology, and skill acquisition principles to allow all clinicians to harness the power of movement within their practice to empower people to change mechanisms of recurrence.

The main focus of this module is to explore functional activities and tasks in patients. Understanding muscle actions and observing synergist activation patterns can inform clinicians of movement patterns associated with pain and impaired function.

The clinical value of this approach is to allow the building blocks of movement patterns to be assessed and retrained so as to manage complex and multi-factorial presentations. Changing movement quality restores more optimal patterns of movement helping limit recurrence and supporting participation, performance and quality of life. This course delivers a time efficient clinical framework that helps you change co-ordination strategies to optimise the health of your patient’s movement.

Who’s it for?
Kinetic Control courses are designed for registered medical health professionals such as physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, podiatrists etc.

In exceptional circumstances experienced non-medical health professionals may be allowed to attend Kinetic Control courses but these participants MUST be able demonstrate that the course material is within their scope of practice.

What’s involved?
This module is delivered over two days (12 hours) during which learners are guided through the programme and complete practical assessments.

For added reassurance, each learner is assessed throughout the course using a range of practical demonstrations and learning checks designed to support your successful integration of the content into your clinical practice.

Translations in Romanian language will be provided during the course.

At the end of this course the participant should be able to:

– Display an understanding of the relationship between movement patterns, postural alignment and muscle synergies in functional tasks.
– Demonstrate the ability to apply a muscle synergy classification model to multi-join movement challenges.
– Demonstrate the ability to assess the efficiency of alignment and movement patterns so as to reduce pain, the impact of pathology and improve function.
– Display an ability to classify individuals into relevant alignment and movement pattern subgroups for the low back, the hip, the neck and the shoulder.
– Display an ability to deliver movement intervention strategies to minimise the negative causes or consequences of alignment change and inefficient movement patterns.
– Identify how assessment, analysis and retraining of alignment and movement patterns can be integrated into their clinical practice.
